This link gives data for the last 3 years, broken down by first year vs transfer and resident vs OOS. Let’s not have a repeat of 2 years ago! (<1% admitted from WL)
4.0 UW GPA, 12 APs (so I think ~4.4 WGPA), 35 ACT. Varsity athlete, part time jobs. OOS.
OOS. Accepted! So happy!
My son did GL Spain, last year. Great experience
My OOS daughter got in (Honors College) with a full scholarship! She is beyond surprised and thrilled!
OOS got in honors college with zero scholarship. Are merit scholarships rare for OOS compared to in-state?
Congrats! Can you share her stats?
Congrats to those that got in!
Question regarding global launch. Does anyone know if that has a separate wait list? I’m curious how that works in relation to the fall matriculation list.
She is an IB diploma student, 4.0uw/4.8 weighted, all 5s on AP tests, 34 ACT and trilingual.
Rejected for Biology, OOS 3.95uw IB Diploma and APs, all the ECs, National Hispanic Scholar, test optional. Disappointed but knew the odds were against her.
So a question… my OOS daughter got waitlisted too. What’s the difference and chances between deferring and waitlist?
UNC doesn’t defer. For EA it’s either accept, deny or straight to waitlist
Unfortunately waitlisted at UNC today but got into UMich though so not a bad day at all. Hope your kiddo got in!
OOS 3.95/4.82 36ACT Scouting, Music ECs, 3x Club Officer, Honor Societies
Rare for anyone at UNC. And I think many scholarships given are for kids with a hook or who are low income.
Congrats! Did she get the Presidential Scholarship?
My OOS daughter also got in, but with first semester in Spain
My OOS daughter is in, with the first semester in Scotland.
yes! you can apply for direct admission for specific schools (ex. business school, public health school, etc.)
would definitely call the university!
