Univ of Washington Class of 2020 Application Thread

@GAU123 sometimes it depends on the school. for foster school, freshmen direct will be notified at a later date but before may 1st if they got into the program.

I checked my portal but it is still “Thank you for applying to University of Washington…”

@QuiteAverage90 you will find out direct admit decisions later

anyone know when financial aid comes out?

@musicizlyfe people (including me) seem to be getting emails a day or so after they get the letter. I got my email the same day I got the mailed letter.

@smartypants57 thank you! I still haven’t gotten a letter, but I’m in California so I’m assuming I’ll get it friday

Hi everyone, I’m an international student who was accepted few hours ago. I applied for 1st Computer Science and 2nd Business. When I check my transcript it shows “Arts & Science - Pre Science.” To my knowledge Business is given as Bachelors of Arts. Does this mean I got into CS program?

@finest319 no, you got into the pre science program in the college of arts and sciences. their website says, “business majors get assigned a pre-major which is part of the college of arts and sciences”. Doesn’t specify which. So you could work towards either major

Accepted! Pre Engeneering
International Student living OOC
SAT: 2000 CR660, M710, W630
ACT : 31 E31, M30, R30, S31
UW GPA: 9.1/10
Checked from portal (MyUW) no email yet
However this school is expensive, might go somewhere else
Good luck to you all

Any idea for how long decision letters will take to come? I’m in-state and live an hour from Seattle

I GOT IIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

ACCEPTED!
Freshman direct admission to Electrical Engineering
WA resident
3.43 GPA weighted

Something that should be noted: I was told that if you put a second major choice down, you wouldn’t be considered for DA for either of the majors. But that might be a rumor at my school

@smartypants57 are you instate?

Does anyone have stats on how man people get in as pre engineering and how many actually get into engineering department at the end of the year?

Anyone from
NJ apply?

@GAU123 I know for bioengineering they only admit 12-15 DA.

@MAnns1 I applied from nj.

Accepted. Finally…International btw
What is the difference between Pre-Engineering and DA?
