University of Colorado Boulder Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

Did you submit your FAFSA?

It’s interesting. In the “accidental” admitted student email, it seems FAFSA had no impact on whether a parent received one. In our case, my son, a high-stat kid for LEEDS, never filled out the FAFSA or submitted his SSN - we did not receive the "accidental’ email. I’ve read that many schools send out communications in batches to prevent their servers from crashing. Is it possible they sent out the first few batches and then realized their mistake?

My daughter also received a “Join us to learn how to apply for Financial Aid” email yesterday. we never got the email that had the error (but had received a different email the day prior). Is anyone wondering if they will release decisions in another hour? :crossed_fingers:

Really hoping it’ll be today.

They’ve posted a couple time on Instagram today, one post and one story so I’m thinking not today. But maybe Friday!

My son’s portal just changed. It now has an icon for submitting new test scores. I don’t remember seeing this icon before.

Here too. Ugh. Do you think that means a Deferred decision?

It’s almost 3pm in Colorado so maybe they are getting ready to release this afternoon.

i see that also. wondering what it means

I am hoping that it means admitted and it’s for confirming your official scores have been received or adding new scores for admission to honors programs (This, of course, is wishful thinking). Also, I read that for waitlist, they don’t accept updated information.

I would expect to see options going away, rather than being added, if site was being prepped for decisions.

But changes would be expected, and maybe they are still learning how to drive the new interface.

We’ll see in a couple hours

also have that “Send Test Scores” option for OOS S25 who did not submit test scores (Boulder somewhat of a reach):

“You opted not to include your standardized test scores in the review of your application. You may choose to opt in to using your SAT/ACT scores in the holistic review of your admission application. We will only review your application once we receive test scores.”

Maybe it is an indication for deferred.

My OOS25 DID opt to send test scores; we have the new tab as well, with the option to withdraw the scores. So the reverse of what you’re seeing. I don’t think it’s indicative of any decision.
