My son was accepted to Engineering Physics. Very excited! No merit, unfortunately.
Deferred. This is unbelievably frustrating. It is horrible on their part to sent out an accidental âadmittedâ student email a week prior just to not let them in. Absolutely horrible.
She got in to Arts and Sciences, there is an acceptance letter, then another letter from the dean of the college of arts and sciences. The merit letter seems to be âmissingâ for us - waaaaaaaa.
Just observing over the last couple of years, seems like out-of-state high stats kids being accepted to Exploratory Studies may be a sort of yield management tool.
My understanding is that getting into Engineering from Exploratory Studies is automatic once you meet the criteria, which should be doable for a high stats kid.
Did anyone get invited into the honors program? And if so, would you mind sharing stats? My daughter is bummed that she didnât get invited. She thought she would.
where do you find the second letter?
OOS S25 applied for Aerospace Engineering, got offered A&S.
Weâre pretty shocked, because his scores are solid, on the high end of their scale, he comes from a strong academic background, and heâs a NASA intern.
Thatâs a no. Disappointed, we really liked the program.
Sounds like it. We are OOS IL and accepted to pre-Biz Leeds exploratory. It does say auto admit into Leeds year 2, with GPA and course requirements.
I didnât notice but D did submit test score with original application (ACT 32).
My D25 was accepted to honors. OOS. 4.0 unweighted. 1310 SAT. 2 varsity sports captain of both. Pres of class 4 years, pres honor society, Pres interact and pres Red Cross club, treasurer key club, treasurer varsity club, member student counsel, member no place for hate committee. Volunteer with local ambulance core.
It kind of makes sense that they donât want to fill up their flagship program spots with students whose profiles may historically show low yield. But it sounds like theyâve disappointed some people who would have taken up those places if they were offered them.
S25 accepted to CS in the Engineering School.
Good luck to all!
D25 accepted to Leeds Honors program. 3.9UW/4.7W, 34 ACT, top few % at a rigorous HS, pretty strong ECs (I think!)
OOS S deferred from Environmental Design. A real bummer, especially after receiving the accidental âYour Admitted Studentâ email last week. Boulder continues to be his first choice, so we wait.
I donât know. Itâs on my daughterâs portal alongside her acceptance letter.
OOS D accepted to Leeds. 3.91 UW; 4.23W (her school weighs A and A- differently). She has AP Cal and AP Stats this year and honors math her sophomore and junior year. She goes to a smaller private school. She received $25,000 CU Boulder Chancellorâs Achievement Scholarship. Very excited.
OOS S accepted Direct to Leeds. 3.98/4.3 with 32 ACT. Donât see merit so it wonât happen as he has higher-ranked options with merit. Congrats to all who got it. and if you didnât, thereâs a place for you thatâs a better fit.
Thatâs a great achievement though and itâs always nice to get an acceptance.
OOS S25 also applied to Aerospace Engineering, offered Exploratory Studies with Chancellorâs Scholarship.
Weâre surprised as well: top-end SAT and GPA in engineering magnet program with MV Calc and DE this year. Already in at Purdue and weâll hear from others by next week.
However, Boulder is one of his top choices, so weâll see how this shakes out. Still, odd.
That is crazy, wow.
