It may be worth contacting admissions to confirm that is what they intended. It seems unusual at best, to assign an OOS to Stamford campus - at least from what I have seen, and in terms of what is rational.
Accepted Intl to Storrs for CS
1490 SAT, 3.7 UW, good leadership and ECs
Unforunately, will not be attending as the scholarship is only 15k per year
Oos accepted to storrs but in the aces program. I didnât realize that was an option - wants exercise science. Looks like you can appeal?
We got New England tuition discount as well. It is not in the letter. It is actually in the portal where you see major- where you see if you got your first choice etc
Not unusual, OOS get branched to Stamford b/c itâs the only branch with dorms. Itâs more unusual to get instate there. Not getting chosen major is actually more common than not unfortunately.
I think it said âup toâ 54
Daughter accepted, oos, 94.5/100. We declined so hopefully that opens up a spot. For those rejected and/or waitlisted, I highly recommend UNH. Not only is the campus better, but the location is superior as well.
Correct. Every year the same
OOS accepted to CAS in Storrs. Honors and 23k merit
My dtr got into Stamford and wouldâve loved a semester abroad!
Son is waiting to hear from UNH next weekâŠfingers crossed!
OOS Acceptancec 14k per year
Yes, I will send a link with the tuition break programs. It was in the acceptance letter, but you have to check to see if the major is listed under ones that qualify. Search up UConn tuition break, it wonât let me post links
Congratulations!
Where is he going to go? Pretty sure my dtr is going to Coastal.
Still waiting on a few, but right now Baylor is a strong possibly. I knew nothing about it but he has a full ride, and after visiting, I liked it a lot. Crazy how different the admissions committees can be. Just glad the kids have options. Still waiting on UNC-Wilmington which announces on 3/15.
Hey wondering if anyone might shed some light on my daughterâs acceptance. We are confused. For background she is OOS, applied only for Storrs campus as wants to major in animal science (in their college of agriculture, health, and life science). Well she was accepted to UCONN, to their College of agriculture, health and life science but at STAMFORD. I get it they place people at other campuses but her intended major and the college it is housed in that she was accepted for isnât even offered at UCONN Stamford.
Should we have her reach out to admissions next week to confirm this is correct? Wondering if this has happened to others?
Baylor is incredible. Daughter loved the campus but decided against it as she liked TCU and SMU better. One thing that you need to be comfortable with if you are from New England is the religious aspect of it. That can turn some people off, but we never had a problem with it and we have heard that it is not stifling and kids can find their crowd.
S24 OOS Accepted Storrs CLAS Pre-Data Science
Honors and $23k /yr merit
3.9 UW/ 4.4 Weighted
1530 SAT 3 Dual enrollment /6 APs
Main EC was 4 year Varsity basketball starter (just intramural sports in college for him though)
Merit makes this competitive with Purdue (accepted already) and the in-state UC schools we are waiting for.
Same here.
