I just found ours in the portal! Same place @20251 said to look.

For some reason we must have missed it, or checked too early online, but it’s on her student portal now. Her stats are 4.0 UW, 4.4 W, 1410 SAT, and 9 APs.

My daughter got her merit award too. $60,000. Is honors a separate application or is it automatically awarded based on the original application? 4.0/4.68, 1440 SAT.

If I remember correctly, I think you indicate interest in honors in one of the questions when applying. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

My daughter got 52K.

Congrats to all the students who recd aid! Kindly provide stats of student’s GPA (unweighted) as well as SAT scores and how much merit aid you received. It will be immensely useful for others on this chat.

My son got $36K (9K per year), was hoping for more but still have some hope for the tuition exchange scholarship. Either way, very grateful to have some aid and super proud of him.

3.6 GPA (uw his school doesn’t weight or rank). 16 dual enrollment classes. 1350 SAT. Will graduate hs with an associate’s degree. 3 years of a varsity sport and model un, several other ECs and some volunteer work.

Congrats to all the prospective Blue Hens!

Unweighted is more useful for stats and chances of merit since high schools weigh very differently.

Our son just received his letter for the $36K ($9K per year) Non-Resident UD Provost scholarship. Does anyone if Delaware is open to reviewing the amount to match out-of-pocket at other schools?

He’s also been accepted to Pitt and is still waiting on PennState.

Nope.

Unfortunately, most don’t have success with merit appeal at state schools (but never hurts to ask). At least that has been my experience being involved in these forums the last few years. Pitt and Penn State usually give almost zero. I have seen people get merit from Pitt with exceptional stats, and that is usually about $5k (Again, in some cases more). UDel does give merit, making it less than Pitt and PSU for OOS, but you need amazing stats to get the $13-$16k per year. My child also received $9k from UDel. We were truly hoping for more. Hopefully, he has some better offers coming in this December & January, but he did love UDel.

Is this on the main page of the portal? And will show up later if she gets merit? We don’t see it currently. Acceptance was this past Friday.

My daughter received $60k ($15k/year) merit. 98.5 W, 1410 SAT, 10 APs, OOS.

Based on past experience, are the admission results released on Wednesday before Thanksgiving vs the regular Friday schedule?
