Your student received an email today with all the details.
Accepted OOS! Presidential Leadership scholarship. 4.93 weighted GPA. President or Vice President of tons of clubs and class officer. 14/500 class rank.
if you donât mind what is SAT/ACT score?
I suggest you pay the housing deposit ASAP, do not delay even a day, as it becomes a big important item for your student come May/June. If youâre still deciding on UGA I would pay the deposit anyway and consider it a cost of application. There will be a rush to pay housing deposits as soon as the portal opens. As an EA acceptance youâll be in a good spot for picking dorms in June.

Accepted OOS. 4.07 UGA GPA, 1550 SAT. Good essays and extracurriculars.
By full tuition waiver, you mean waiver of the OOS tuition differential, right? Thatâd be either City Classic or Presidential Waiver, in addition to the Presidential Leadership Scholarship. Student is still going to pay tuition, but at the in-state rate. Just checking in order to make sure you donât get a very unpleasant surprise later on!
My child was also accepted OOS with the Presidential Leadership Scholarship - and understand that scholarship to be as you describe it.
My Kid got OOS accepted with Presidential Leadership award and tuition waiver.
1480 SAT, Secretary for bunch of clubs and honor society, science fairs and publications and research at top 20 college, good class rank, varsity team tennis, tons of volunteer experience at hospitals and local events etcâŠ
I have the same question about when the portal opens on Monday! 12:01am or a more respectable time? Iâm hoping someone with prior years experience can answer this!
I had asked housing about time and was simply told âonce the housing office is staffedâ
I would put in the housing fee in ASAP, but itâs not critically important to submit it within the first minutes after it opens or anything like that. (Signing up for freshman orientation, OTOH . . . yikes! Now that is a mad scramble.)
Getting the housing fee in sometime tomorrow â or even a day or two later â is fine. RD students wonât be eligible to do this until March, so EA students are already way ahead. All freshmen will get housing, and itâll be fine. In previous years, Graves has said they really donât get that many housing fees submitted right away. It just isnât on most studentsâ radar, esp if theyâre in state and considering going out of state for college.
Not sure how that works. My son got deferred with 4.2 UGA GPA and 1440 SAT. So hes in the middle 50% of the published stats. It makes me think most who got in were above the middle 50% stats or atleast had GPA or scores abive the middle 50%. Not sure if anyon here saw a deferral even though within then stats range they published
Wondering if the targeted 80% GA/20% OOS ratio for admitted students applies to the Honors College as well.
My OOS son (CA) also got deferred- his UGA GPA was a little lower at 4.1, with the same SAT score of 1440
It opened somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30. Anyone able to complete the housing app before 7:30?
We just completed ours. (We had checked at 6 and then not again until 7:50)
Yes, completed at 7:18.
Is the Dawg house username / password the same as the portal or do you need to create a new profile to request housing?
It is different. Your student should have received an email from UGA IT. Follow those instructions first. THEN, access the housing portal using those newly-created credentials.
