My sense is that yield protection is usually a feature of privates trying to game the rankings. I don’t think it’s generally an issue with publics, though stand to be corrected if anyone knows specifics. Usually those colleges that play yield management also look a lot at demonstrated interest. According to the UIUC CDS, they don’t consider demonstrated interest.

There was an email on the same… "“Your admission decision will be available this Friday, January 31 at 4:00 p.m”

Was yours gone before? That could signal then that decisions were being uploaded. Form could be taken away and then added back… something like the Purdue application status bar. That brings up the possibility that some of us with the form may not have had it the entire time and we just missed ours being removed
