Congrats to all accepted.
S25 OOS accepted engineering.
Congrats to all accepted.
S25 OOS accepted engineering.
we knew that from portal astrology already, thx for confirming.
You daughter can have a nice shot at MIT I would think, if only my son is willing to do some of her ECs, he would be in both UT and UIUC already, unfortunately I can not live his life, lol.
Congratulations!
As predicted I was deferred. I donât have much hope for the next cycle either though
Us, too⊠keep the faith!
Sleep it off, and hang toughâŠ
41/45 IB Predicted, 1530 SAT, deferred for Mechanical Engineering. Itâs okay, though, as I have Purdue as an option.
Thank you!
Every student is different. At the end they will shine In whatever they are interested in. I am sure it all works out for your son, best wishes!!
OOS accepted to Data Science
UW 4.0 W4.5
SAT 1520
As long as your EC is there, you should have full confidence, just a coin flip.
My EC-limped kid has a more bleak future I think, a EE admission could be a windfall, I actually prefer that he goes for computer engineering over CS.
Enough fun today, enjoy your weekend.
This form is for tracking decision results, so itâs all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!
You can see all other peopleâs individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).
Accepted OOS (CA)!
3.83/4.44, 36 ACT submitted, 1540 SAT not submitted
Math Major, but very commmunity-service oriented story/ECs
DD got accepted. Major: CS
Folks - how is UIUC Industrial engineering program. And how hard it is to change major in first yearâŠ
ANy insights will be helpful
What do you want to change to? Some majors are closed to on campus transfers.
Computer science during first year
I have heard transfers are very difficult at UIUC. We were told that while listing majors - the opportunity to backdoor into something is tough especially CS.
Not possible. CS is closed to on campus transfers. Industrial engineering is well regarded, but if you really want CS, it wonât happen at UIUC. CS + X majors are possible but competitive.
CS major is closed to internal transfers, so not a possibility. You could consider transferring to a CS + X major.
Oops, cross post with momofthree
Rejected. OOS Math + CS. Disappointed. Accepted at Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin and UMD CS programs
OOS: Physics Major, Accepted. US Citizen but international study. 1510/school topper (97%), physics research papers, many ECâs: Essay quality:4/10 he screwed it up and i observed after submission and had given up all hopes. UIUC was his first priority since itâs top 10 physics in US and visited the campus and met so many students/few profâs before making UIUC as #1, UT Austin was 2nd (accepted) and Purdue was 3rd (accepted).
Youâve got great choices in front of you.
We are deferred at Wisconsin, but accepted at UIUC.
DD is still inclined towards Wisconsin, and hoping to be accepted.
