Accepted, OOS.
No mention of LLC or Honors in the letter. What is this mean, not in scholars or honors?
Congrats!
CuriousâŠHow many APs? Weighted GPA?
Honors or Scholars are always clearly stated in the first sentence, if you were admitted to one of them

Admitted to FIRE - any advice on that?
Also where are you all seeing which communities youâre in? Is FIRE the community, or are you talking about living communities? Donât see anything regarding that.
Congrats to others admitted!
Weighted GPA, no idea what unweighted is as his school does not tell you but if I had to guess I would say 3.5-ish
3 AP classes, mostly honors otherwise
Check your portal. If everything was not submitted by the 11/1 deadline you are put into the regular decisions category.
The acceptance says if you are invited to scholars or honors. If it doesnât mention it you were not invited. You can self nominate for scholars.
Soooo⊠son applied with reported test scores from last year for EA. Didnât actually send in SAT scores until January 10. Did he get moved to regular decision?

Congrats⊠my son has similar stats was denied for UIUC CS+Math and was accepted for Math at UMD. UIUC âCS+Anythingâ is sooper selective
Thanks for the information.
Is this means no merit scholarship?
I still havenât received a decision
My son is a Junior CS - admitted as a freshman. He was in Carillion freshman year and housed in Elkton. He is so happy that he accepted the Carillion LLC. He lived on the same floor and had 2 classes with alot of the kids in his LLC. Most were from different majors. He had such a great experience and made amazing friends several of whom he currently lives with off campus.
Thank you! This is great info. My older son is in an LLC at Sacred Heart for business which allowed him to live in the nicest dorm on campus with AC and a private bath shared by only four students! (instead of the triple he was originally assigned to!). Wasnât sure if the LLC at Maryland was a similar situation or had any added benefits. Itâs kind of nice to know what dorm they would be in this far in advance instead of finding out in July or August.
Well, Easton is definitely not anywhere near that nice, lol!!! Still, the a/c is nice and the general community is a good one.
