Accepted for Agricultural and Veterinary Medicine. OOS, 3.6 GPA, but my school’s grading scale is super weird. On the scales yall use I would have a 4.2. I didn’t submit test scores. I actually have no idea how I got in, but I’m not complaining :open_mouth:

@STEMX Any reason as to why this is the case?

No decision, and complete application. Double checked.

Don’t think the remaining decisions are coming today : (

I do not believe this is true (there is not a requirement). That said, here are stats from last year:

Yep. And the fact that she wasn’t rejected as an OOS at UMich! So far the only kid we know from her HS that has been accepted is not as good of a student (AP and engineering-coursework-wise) and mom works at UMD (I believe they do factor that). AND, she didn’t apply to engineering, she applied for natural sciences (astronomy)! Crazy!
Pitt and PSU are great schools - congrats to your daughter! Also, the Freshman Connection option for spring admits to UMD is really a good deal!

Wow, I did not know this. Thanks!

My OOS son just opened his letter and got in Fall 25 and into Carillon Communities! We are all in shock! And his twin sister just got into UVA!

she can still start in the fall with Freshman Connection!

Not true

We will look into it for sure! Is it primarily gen eds and evening classes? I recall reading into it quickly prior. She has her Associate’s degree through dual enrollment and direct CC credits that will likely transfer so will need to look into whether that program would be a value to her potentially. ty!

Can anyone share the next steps with housing? Do we need to put down deposit asap even if still deciding? Also DS received Carillon invite. Do you know if that is always in the same dorm?
