Hey dude I’ll send u the comment in a second but there’s a way to take data science and essentially take almost every cs class. There’s ways for computer engineering too.’

“I can only speak about data science. The DS major is pretty flexible in the upper levels you take. You still have to take 203, 280, 281 which are all required for CS. You can focus pretty much all of your upper levels in EECS classes (youll prolly be taking 445, 484, 485, but you can pick the rest.). Just by doing this you get very close to a CS degree. The only difference is that you wont take EECS 370/376 which are more of the theoretical core cs classes. Instead you take stats 412 and stats 413 instead. You can definitely take 370 and 376 as a data science major if you want it’ll just be elective credit.
So yea, by doing a EECS concetrated DS major, you can customize the major to be only 2 classes different from a CS major.
I assume CE is similar to DS in this sense.”

beyond excited!! the backup plan would be DS + Math + Leetcode, but getting in just made things a bit easier.

im thinking that i’ll switch to DS + math, with a minor in Spanish (originally planning to do CS + spanish double major)
