Gotta be deferred because LOCI button is there.
But under messages it still says all materials received and you will get an answer by the end of January. And under application status it says “All required materials received”

I just replied to another comment. Same for us. Obviously deferred bc there is a continued interest form, but sort of strange that there is no notification about the decision.
Same for my son too.. there is LOCI form but no status update
Yes and strange that it still says a decision will be made by the end of January.
Yeah, my kid still has that end of January language, too. But it’s otherwise obviously a deferral.
in for Engineering! BME major, out of state. 4.0uw/4.95w 1540 SAT, lots of APs/IBs all 5’s, lots of DE math
We got the strange deferral too. So no rejections thus far?
Does Michigan ever defer in EA? I don’t think they did in ED. I think they just string on the entire applicant pool. And last year ended up deep in the waitlist.
I think you meant to ask if they deny in EA.
Yes, they do and there were also students rejected in ED.
I assume you meant to say reject instead of defer?
I meant do they ever reject in EA
yes I did. thanks.
They defer and deny in both. Their wait list is always very long and 100% voluntary
yes, thanks.
Thanks. I haven’t heard of anyone rejected, but I only know what I hear from a small group.
Very few people will come on here saying they are rejected. You will find some on Reddit. I just worry about myself and wish everyone well. This site is just a microcosm of real life.
Yeah…..got the LOCI thing. I already got into NYU ED thankfully but still is a bummer
And you didn’t pull your other applications?
wondering if any of the acceptances today are from ED deferrals or all EA?
You’re obligated to pull your remaining applications and would have had to accept the NYU offer earlier this month. By not doing so, you’re violating the binding agreement you signed with NYU: Early Decision
