They won’t care. But you can call admissions so you can sleep better even without giving your name. Good luck m
Yes exactly what I was thinking. It’s always something lol! Thank you!!
Plus gym isn’t a “core “subject like math and science so they really won’t care
…
Are you talking about senior year classes? For past years I don’t believe Michigan uses the self reported classes/grades part of the common app, I think they just go by the transcript. When my child submitted there were just a few schools that used that part of the common app and Michigan was not one of them.
Yes. You are exactly right. I called and they said they only go off of the transcript! Thank you!
My kid is taking a college class that does not appear on the HS transcript. He included it in the common app course listing and referenced it in additional info, and I’m guessing the counselor rec will mention it. App is already submitted and now wondering whether there’s anything else he needs to do….
Congrats. Relax. Ice cream and pizza tonight. Lol.
lol I was relaxed until I saw that they only look at the transcript! But I will assume that we’ve covered our bases. ![]()
They will see it all and do a multi layer holistic review. This is just the start of the journey and could go on till April
…
There is a game to root for on Saturday and basketball season is starting plus the World Series game tonight.
If he’s not working on other apps etc just let him be. They all need to decompress.
If it is a course in progress there is nothing else that needs to be done.
It is. Thanks.
Good luck to all applying. Press send and Go Blue!
I would guess that will absolutely come up in the committee. And not as a positive.
More than 2/3 of applicants submit scores
Hi, my student submitted the UM application on Oct. 31. Now, the school portal still shows counsellor recommendation, transcript and teacher recommendation are awaiting. Is this normal? UM has downloaded these documents on Common App already.
My kid has the exact same notification and those documents were submitted even before the actual application. Maybe it takes time for the portal to be updated?
Ya,I think it takes time to process the documents and link them to the student’s file.
For my kid, it updated pretty much immediately. When she set up the portal, everything was already shown as received, except for the teacher rec (which hadn’t been completed at that point, but has since been added). It might depend on what platform your school uses to submit documents. Ours submits everything electronically through SchooLinks, which is linked to the Common App.
Ours is through Naviance
Michigan takes their time. Might as well get used to it now. Lol. It will all get processed.
