What are the buttons everyone is referring to?

applied 10/19 and completed 10/26- no buttons yet. Getting nervous!!!
@hailtopitt1787 - Just FYI, I reached out to the admissions office and was told that for all non-US residents all notifications will be sent by email. Whew!
anyone know what time of day emails are sent out? My buttons changed a few days ago but I haven’t gotten my email yet.
Congrats- I’ve been following your posts because I have similar stats to your son and I am retaking the SAT. I was wondering what your son’s last SAT score was since you said the admissions office was waiting to see that before admitting. I appreciate your help!
@bibliophile144 … My son’s buttons changed on a Thurs AMb (7:30 am ) . He got his email the following Monday around 3 pm. I am not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to when buttons change or when emails are sent. I am sure that the emails go out 2 business days after the buttons change over

@bibliophile144 I think I’ve gathered from the thread and from when my daughter got hers that the email comes between 3-3:30 p.m. Congrats on the buttons!
@Hopetobeapittmom, How soon after the SAT score release did Pitt get your son’s score. It sounds like it didn’t take too long to make the decision.
@Sgmom17 His SAT scores were sent on Sat 10/21. They were loaded into the Pitt Mobil app under test scores in Academics on Weds 10/25. My husband called on the 25th asking how long it could take for a decision and OAFA said between 3-5 weeks. His buttons changed 1 week later. So yes, it was quicker than we expected since they said 3-5 wks.

first time poster here, I have learned so much from you guys! My DS applied to Swanson on 10/15, email came on Monday and letter of acceptance with possible merit scholarship and Honors College invitation today. Very exciting times!

I completed app on 10/31, and SAT scores were loaded on the app the same day. Where will I see these “buttons” change, and how long will it take to get my decision? (Engineering)
I applied to Pitt and I’m waiting for an admission decision. But now I fear that I have really less chances of getting in because of my low SAT/ACT scores.
How long does it take for them to notify us of a decision? I’m so nervous!
@SST0221 … There are many factors besides SAT scores that will determine your acceptance. What were your SAT scores and grades/courses? My son has an SAT off 1220 (as you can see, significantly lower than many posted here. There will be no Merit Scholarships awarded to him.) UW GPA 3.6, WGP 5.21. He has taken honors and AP classes from 9th-12 Grade. His EC was only football for 4 years. There is a legacy as both his father and I went to Pitt. You have to look at the whole picture. He applied 8/3 and found out 11/3 due to request of 2nd SAT Score. But once they got that 2nd SAT score, it was 1 week until we heard back. OAFA said it could take up to 3-5 weeks. My son applied 10/25 and received his acceptance email with video yesterday. Now just waiting for news on merit aid will need if he wants to attend , he is OOS.
