University of Pittsburgh Class of 2022

@hailtopitt1787 thank you for clearing my doubt!

Hello, I am trying to check my status but I keep getting an error message saying “Error - This page does not exist or the current user does not have access to it.” Why is this so?

@eh1234, We would still review that student for scholarships, but it’s important to keep in mind that our scholarship process is very competitive.

In recent years, scholarship eligible students possessed all of the following:

Minimum SAT score of 1480 or ACT composite score of 33
Overall ‘A’ average
Challenging high school curriculums consisting of AP/IB/Honors courses
Top 5% class rank (if applicable)

NOTE: These criteria are provided for the purposes of guidelines only and not meant as scholarship requirements or guarantees.

@SST0021, Did you get asked to send mid-year grade before you got accepted or is your question hypothetical? Just checking as my D is waiting to submit her senior SAT and mid-year grade per their request.

@Sgmom17 no I didn’t get asked to send mid year grades before I got accepted. I just hear other people saying they did, but maybe it was after they got accepted

@Sgmom17 , Mine got asked to do the same.

@nursingmom2022 Good question, my D is in the same situation. Test score didn’t really change and she is done with testing. I guess we will have to wait to hear after midterms are sent.

I applied October 22nd, and I haven’t gotten any decision yet. Is something wrong?

@sst0221 Hey, how long did you get your acceptance email after button changed?

My son OOS, had SAT 1530 super score and 1510 in one sitting with 35 ACT and 3.9 UW GAP and 4.22 Weighted. was granted 10K per year. He also got Temple Presidential award: Full Tuition + 4K for study abroad research. Do you think sending a cost analysis with just one comparison, which is all we have at this time, while we wait for other offers help? Appreciate the feedback.

@CamPan1 , Pitt’s mobile app records a 35 ACT as a 1570 SAT, so that would be viewed as his highest score. I heard that last year there were surprising results in Merit offers and I would categorize yours as one of those. The Temple offer is a great one (Congratulations). I don’t know much about appeals (other than needing to document a competing COA) but I wish you luck!

@CamPan1 , which school at Pitt was he applying to? As pointed out on another thread, it may be that the competition was more intense in his school of choice at Pitt. An appeal can’t hurt though.

May be that could be case. Dietrich school of arts and sciences. Thanks!

@Joezzzzz my buttons changed at around 5 pm, and I got my email the next day at like 3:30pm

@hailtopitt1787 I got my acceptance back in September. When should I expect to get a letter about financial aid?

@SST0221 Still haven’t seen the email, don’t know what happened!

@Joezzzzz - Merit scholarship notifications have started to roll out.

Financial aid will be released in spring of 2018.

@carachel2 I doubt myself of chance to get any scholarship lol, I just want to see the acceptance email

@CamPan1 that seems awfully low for the 35 ACT and high GPA…which school at Pitt did he apply to? I’m also not sure how appeals work…did he submit the short answer questions?

@kwtgtc, We will start to send out financial aid notification letters to admitted students in February/March of 2018. Students who are selected for scholarships will receive a letter about the scholarship only (not need-based aid) anytime from November-March 1.
