UW GPA: 3.55
3 AP Classes
5 Honors Classes
Test optional
Really good EC’s
Good Essay
All materials were accepted on 8/16, so it was just a tad bit over 6 weeks.
While the numbers are not as strong as some others, I do believe the essay helped to push her over the top, as she does have a learning disability and worked her butt off to get where she did.
My D25 and I have been patiently and eagerly watching since the beginning. Her application for Nursing was complete as of 8/8. Her stats are:
3.95/4.09
handful of APs
2 Varsity sports
many ECs focusing on special needs community and homeless population
part-time job throughout the year.
I recall this being the case last year as well. Dietrich seemed to be fairly consistent and release decisions on specific days of the week, although not necessarily in order of application date. Other schools were less consistent in releasing decisions, although it’s difficult to tell because, as you indicate, you can really only go on who is posting about their results.
I’m trying to find the pattern too. Are acceptances only given at night between 7-8pm? Has anyone heard anything during the day time hours? Could save me from having to refresh the portal constantly!!! Please share if you know.
Acceptances are made through the day, but job that runs that generates and distributes letters runs in batch so notifications are sent about the same time every workday
DD25 just got acceptance In state for biology. 4.3 test optional. 7 AP and lots of honors. She applied around Sept 21st.
This is her DREAM school. We are so excited. Her ECs were clubs and working 2 jobs. Her essay was amazing. She wrote about her self and the journey she has been through. She has battled depression for the past few years and is doing really well now. She plans on becoming a phychiatrist to help teens going through similar situations. I was also diagnosed with breast cancer the beginning of her sophmore year Im doing well now but it was a hard year. This kid has been a superstar. As her guidance counselor put it. She powered through it all.
