We finally heard tonight! Accepted!! Applied Aug 26, everything was submitted by Sept 17. Email was in after 7 PM!

Congrats! What school/major?
My daughter received her merit notice in December, about a month and a half after she received her official acceptance letter in the mail (which came later than her online acceptance). Many students were receiving merit aid notices through the winter and into March.

Just wanted to pop onto this thread as my D is on a recruiting trip at Pitt and reported last night to being so impressed with the quality of the students and their preparedness. This is very much not always the case at other schools. Pitt is doing something very right!

In the past, Pitt didnāt start merit reviews until October and the first round of awards came at around the end of the first week/beginning of the second week of the month.
If I were a betting person, I would guess that admitted students will start hearing once/week starting next week.
Pitt reviews students weekly, and any admitted student not offered merit is put back into the pile for the following weekās review. Students have a chance at getting merit until March.

Yep. My S24 admitted in October (10/11) didnāt get a merit offer until March (3/10).

Does accepting admission before getting merit impact negatively with receiving merit?
Does anyone know when Accepted students day is? Website says October 26th but then I also heard November.
The web page admissions.pitt.edu/admitted-student-programs/ mentions that they will host several accepted student days. The two dates in the fall are October 26 and December 2.
An email just came in about the Admitted Students Day.
It is Oct 26 and Dec 2

I donāt think this has really been tested much since usually there is not much reason to accept their offer right away.

Curious if Swanson is sending out acceptances daily as well? Seeing Dietrich is coming out daily but not sure if Swanson is sending out as well or if they are but folks arenāt posting much here?
