Yes, we are OOS. He applied to the Business School, which I think has higher fees/tuition.
That makes sense, thank you! My daughter had similar COA numbers for OOS public admits at Delaware, Maryland and Charleston making them much more expensive for her than Pitt. I hope your son has some comparable in-state options that make the COA more reasonable.

The indirect estimates have been underestimated for sure for a city setting for Pitt as compared to other COA that we received from other schools. We got confirmation from our AO this week that all merit aid has now been disbursed! We will visit Pitt and then decide.
Hi everyone. Our family toured Pitt February 28 for the admitted student day. My daughter really liked the campus and school. I think this is her first-choice school at the moment. This is all great news, except for the fact that I am now terrified about it because we are from the west coast and itās so far away! 
We have an older daughter who is now in college in the Midwestā she is enjoying her college experience and the travel to and from has been no problem. So Iām not sure why Iām so worried about Pitt.
Anyway, I just thought I would say hello and good luck to everyone else and their children as they navigate through admissions. Maybe lāll see you at Pitt in August for move-in day! Iāll be the one crying in my rental car after drop off!!

Very easy to get to airport from campus - thereās a (free) bus right on 5th Ave that goes to the airport.
Have never known any student at Pitt not to be happy. Itās a great, vibrant, and stimulating place to spend 4 years. Sheāll be great. (But yes so hard for the parents!!)

Does anyone know when the other admitted student days are? I canāt find this information on the website and I donāt have my sons portal login information. Wish they would just send this information to the parents. Thanks
I think it is school dependent, but I could be wrong. I know there is one on the 29th for Dietrich.
Here is the list of dates for admitted students days for Dietrich. This is a screenshot from my daughterās portal.
March 29 and Apr 12 are also Honors College Admitted Students Reception. If applicable to your case, you could do both events on those days pending availability of slots. Good luck.

Hi everyone. My daughter received a postcard in the mail today regarding financial aid, which said to ācheck your Pitt email for your offer letterā. We donāt expect to receive aid, but we still wanted to take a look.
My daughter attempted to access her Pitt email through myPitt, but is receiving an error message. We tried clicking on the help information, and it sounds like maybe students donāt get access to email until they commit? But then Iām wondering why the postcard said to check your Pitt email if students are unable to do so. Is there anyone here whose child hasnāt committed yet, but it able to access their Pitt email already? If so, do you remember when/how you gained access? We plan to call in the morning, but I thought Iād ask here just in case anyone had a tip. Thanks all!
Hi- we received the same postcard from Pitt regarding aid. We are OOS and REALLY hoping for some aid since full OOS tuition is a bit dauntingā¦ good question about the āPitt emailāā¦my son says no Pitt email until you commit, which we have not done yet. Any update on this?
My daughter called and they told her that the email gets activated only after committing. The financial aid offer was sent to the personal email address that my daughter used on her application. That email was sent a couple of weeks ago, but was missed in the avalanche of college emails. Have your student search through their emails and hopefully itās there for you. Good luck!

I have a Pitt commit with a twin heading up to school in New England. Does anyone know the move-in date for Dietrich, she got in the honors but might still opt for the regular freshman dorms. Just trying to get ahead of the logistics for moving in 2 freshman. Any insights would be much appreciated. Even a ballpark range on move-in dates would be helpful. Thx
