My daughter’s application portal still says “Awaiting Decision” in the banner at the top, but Application Details Status says “Awaiting Confirmation” which I think was a recent change as I believe it indicated Awaiting Decision in both places previously. Anyone else seeing this change to Awaiting Confirmation? She applied 8/20 and under review since 8/23.
My son applied 8/2 and went under review 8/6. His stills says Awaiting Decision in both places. Starting to think this doesn’t bode well for him.

I really think it is WAAAAAY too early to start reasoning like this. I’d at least give it a couple more weeks to really get rolling (hopefully). Then if you start to get the feeling your kid’s application is one of the last few without a decision in their cohort, you might actually think about checking to make sure there isn’t a glitch of some sort. But for now I would just assume they are only starting the process of getting through the initial rush of early applications.

Received an email last night that there was an update to his admission portal, but the acceptance letter did not show up until this morning.
School of Computing and Information.
So last year my S24 wasn’t getting his portal setup email, and we finally called. Turns out there was a glitch that the IT Help Desk fixed, and that same day he actually got admitted!
Point being if you feel like they have failed to do something they normally do by a certain point, feel free to check.

Yes, ours appears to have changed to Awaiting Confirmation, too, but I wasn’t sure if it always said that or if it changed from Awaiting Decision. Applied 8/9 but application not completed due to SRAR until 8/13. School of Nursing.

This is our first (oldest) going through the process. I’m assuming Awaiting Confirmation simply means a decision has been reached but could still be an acceptance, denial or waitlist. I’m interpreting it as neutral - but indicating that a change in the status has occured so hopefully we’ll hear the determination sooner than later.
