Everything was submitted August 21st
everything was subumitted on the 23 of august for me. My application still says awaiting decision. Is that a reason to panic
no not at all. the first batch of decisions just got sent out today and they do a first come first serve (rolling) type decisions. People that applied before u will get theirs back before. I also applied 8/18 and mine says awaiting decision too

One thing to remember, even though Pitt generally reviews applications in the order that they come through, thatâs not 100% true. In many cases, students who apply later may be accepted first for any number of reasons. Just because you havenât heard back yet, doesnât mean you wonât be accepted.

Same. My daughter applied nursing as well. Herâs went under review 8/8. There might be additional steps for them because acceptance rates are so tight to begin with.

Yes. To state the obvious, the âbadâ thing is to get your decision and find out you were not accepted.
If it is just a matter of other people getting their decisions, good or bad, before you do, that is at worst ambiguous, and could well mean absolutely nothing. Like maybe you were on the bottom of the committee stack that week and they ran out of time before getting to your file. Who knows?
But if there is actual bad news to tell you, well, for good or ill, it will be clear.

Ugh. Where are you seeing this? On the page where it originally said âpendingâ?
The first post in this thread had some links that people in prior years have used to see if theyâve been admitted (they see the buttons to accept or decline). Post number 28 shows the current website information and link to the portal. We are seeing this in the latter.
My daughterâs flipped back to awaiting decision also 
Ours now says Awaiting Confirmation in the lower section, but still awaiting decision on the top. Hopefully they send something official out soon!!
Same for my son. Did you apply to Dietrich? Maybe is this the batch that was released today?

Still says Pending and no buttons in the Peoplesoft portal.
i am confused by what everyone means by the upper and lower section. Can someone explain?
The upper and lower sections are on the applicant portal: https://www.explore.pitt.edu/apply/status
The âupper sectionâ is the status bar at the top (Awaiting Materials > Awaiting Decision > Decided).
The âlower sectionâ is the rounded rectangle with a blue background titled âYour Application Detailsâ. I believe the value of âStatusâ in this lower section changed from âAwaiting Decisionâ to âAwaiting Confirmationâ and back to âAwaiting Decisionâ for some.
