My son applied to Dietrich 8/2 and went under review 8/6. No changes to any of the portals or pages.

But, i dont think my daughters has changed. But then again we may have missed it, since others are reporting it went back and forth today.

No decision but my daughter’s portal changed to Awaiting Confirmation today and has stayed on that status (no switch back to Awaiting Decision). She is in state, test optional to Dietrich applied 8/20; application complete w transcipts/SRAR 8/22 and under review 8/23

Still no change for us either. We’ve been checking since I found out there has been some movement with Pitt applications. My D25 application was complete 9/10. So, im sure we’ll be hearing back around the same time.

I applied the 1st and the portal says Application Complete Date was on the 7th. But on the checklist is says that they received my transcript on the 14th. What date should I go by? It’s exciting seeing some movement!

And now it just switched back to Awaiting Decision. I have no idea what’s going on.

Same major as my daughter. Fingers crossed. Hope she gets positive news too. Nothing yet. Do you always receive an email first before checking the portal?

Don’t let it concern you if people who applied later are receiving decisions before your child does! Last year this was happening with frequency (go read last year’s message board for proof) and is not an indication of whether your child will be accepted. My own child was accepted later than multiple people from the same school despite applying earlier and having “better” stats. The timeline is not perfectly linear for everyone.

no. i was just going to ask the same thing. applied on 8/1 and 8/7 was our completion date.. 6 weeks yesterday

I was also going to ask. The waiting is hard especially since last year and even before by now so many decisions were out.

A lot of times last year it seemed to me decisions were being released around once a week. People might take longer to find out and post about it, but the actual decisions seemed to be uploaded close in time, and then it would take a week or so for the next batch.

Just noting this in case it helps some people get some “low alert” days.

We haven’t. Application submitted on 8/26 and in the portal, all green light since 9/6.

Alright folks I broke down and called admissions lol!

But i called because my D25 received an email invite to apply to the honors college, though she didnt select to apply to it. She said she’s going to apply to it now; initially she thought she wouldn’t get in to it because she knows its competitive. Anywho, i called to find out how she can apply to it since her app is under review. He said you can still apply directly for HC by going to the Pitt honors admissions site > apply > upload or enter and essay and a separate decision will be made on HC if you apply before 12/1. So, for anyone who decides to apply to HC after under review, you can still do it. And he says you’ll get your GA decision before the decision on HC, if you apply to HC before 12/1.

Lastly, you know i had to check on her status while i had him on the phone :laughing: so he looked her up for me, confirmed everything I already knew of course lol and said confirmed after your app is placed under review, then expect it to take 6 - 8 weeks for a decision, BUT sometimes sooner.

Just thought id let you all know; sharing is caring :blush: so thanks everyone for all the updates as we go thru this madness together lol!
