@nycasdmom I wonder if whether students whoa re accepted can email the admissions office and inquire as to how much financial aid they may be able to recieve? I don’t think pitt has a specific day where they tell accepted students how much their eligible for
I would love to know that. This is the dream school, but depending on the package, it may not be an option. We’d love to know soon so we can manage expectations.
S26 was accepted yesterday! Everything was submitted by mid-September. It’s his first acceptance and he’s relieved as he no longer has to apply to any schools he liked less than Pitt. And he liked Pitt quite a bit.

Current major is EE, but we will have to see once she gains a bit more exposure. She really does not love coding, but loves all the circuit stuff and logic involved. We are debating the event on Nov 8th. We are OOS and she will be applying to a school ED. Debating whether it is worth the money to attend prior to hearing back from ED school in December. School is a reach and I am concerned if she is not accepted, we are going to be scrambling to visit any other options. Hence the dilemma. Sigh. I wish the decision time frames were all a bit sooner. Pitt is definitely high on the list.

Same here! My son had been frequently checking portal- around 7:15pm there was an email saying go to portal there has been an update.
D26 admitted today! Yay! In state for psychology. Application was completed on 9/23, so it was a quick response.

Has anyone heard from the Business school yet? Today marks exactly 6 weeks since applying. I see a lot of nursing and engineering on this string but not business school.
Son got his acceptance just now - OOS, Dietrich, major Biology. Application went under review on 9/30.

Daughter just accepted to pre-comm disorder with guaranteed admission to masters program! She is so excited to have this acceptance. Feels like a huge weight lifted knowing she is accepted to one of her top choices! (Application under review 10/2)

Son was accepted into Dietrich this evening. Application went into review 10/2. Out of State. Took a risk and submitted SATs even though only 1250. 4.0 GPA. All APs and Honors. 3 sport athlete, 3 sport captain. Tons of extracurriculars and volunteer activities.
