yes, ours took almost a month. we completed our app on 10/31 and received notice today.

Is Pitt like Penn State in that they only consider GPA, test scores, and rigor?
It helps a lot to see when apps are final—my S26’s app was final on 11/4, so I’m hoping he is in the next batch of decision updates.

what do you mean by final? it will say that in the portal? my son applied 10/31, it says awaiting decision. 4.09gpa, 1440 SAT, tons of business ECs, leadership positions, sports captain, honor societies. I feel like Pitt is a good fit for him but concerned about the urban campus, as he really loves the Penn State campus. we have been waiting to hear from Penn State Smeal. not feeling hopeful

Not sure how Penn state does it but Pitt says the essay is important. (It is required for TO applicants, honors college and scholarships, but encouraged for everyone)

Just meant that Pitt had marked his app as complete. so the STARS connection was synced up, the test scores received, the app received.

S26 got admit today for Finance major in the School of Business.
Is the scholarship info released at the same time or we wait another few weeks? Also not sure where in portal to check for any scholarship info.
Stats: 3.7 UW GPA (8 APs, 3 DE), 1490 SAT, applied on 10/27, OOS, Decent ECs, Internship, Above Average Essay.

D26 admitted yesterday for Accounting major @ Pitt School of Business. 3.8UW, 4.2W, 5 APs, 11 honors, 3 DE, 33 ACT, OOS. Her application wasn’t considered complete until 11/7 even though she submitted on 11/1. She applied to GAP as well and got in.

Business college… Received Honors College notification today, 12/5. Completed App 10/3, accepted 11/3 with guarantee acceptance to grad school. No merit yet. applied w/ 1500 SAT, OOS, 4 DE, 7 AP, 4.0 unweighted, 4.8 weighted (our school weighs AP and Honors the same so probably not actually 4.8). Good ECs, fair essay
