Pitt does not require anything from counselors. If the application portal says it’s complete, it is complete. (It could be waiting on the official test score if you are applying with the ACT/SAT.)

Moving off the topic of portal astrology - Does anyone know if Honors and/or Guaranteed Admission decisions are done later or at the same time as regular admissions decisions?

This year Honors got rid of their essay and it was just a check box for interest. That could make decisions faster or have way more people apply.

Looking at last year’s thread, students seemed to receive guaranteed admission letters at the same time as admission.
Honors normally comes out later.
Merit scholarships also come out later, gradually throughout the season. When my S23 was applying, I remember that some students received merit earlier on, but his merit appeared in his portal quite late in the season (long after he was admitted) and we were surprised.
Is it possible of any coming out tonight?

last year my D25 applied in early october, admitted early november…didn’t hear about honors until february 12. she was admitted comp sci and FHC. she is going to be salty they took away the essay…she was stressing it last year 
…oh and she received merit, but didn’t get merit until late march/early april. forget the exact date.

my D26 says pending also, but it oddly says she is undeclared…but her other main applicant portal indicates that she applied biological sciences/FHC interest.

Undeclared is normal! Technically they haven’t declared a major yet.

Is there anything after the Pending status?

When I expand the status under Pending (by clicking on that row), I see the above info on the left (Term, Career, Program, and Plan), and on the right I see her Application Number and Application Date. That’s all.

Right, but his application was complete on the sixth or the seventh and it just now moved to pending so I’m hoping that means we will hear soon

No they removed it. I am a fall athlete and wanted to have a head start on my essays so I wrote it based on last year’s prompt. Then I attended the Honors session in July and they announced there won’t be an essay. It was so specific too I couldn’t even use it for any other schools. Oh well.
