for Honors admission? It’s simply by February. Historically speaking, they had two acceptance waves for Honors: the week prior to Christmas and mid Feb. Top Scholars invitations typically went out mid to late Jan.

Yes, my son received an email. I also received an email but I don’t have (or want) access to his portals! I did suspect it was good news though.

Same, so still keeping our fingers crossed! We didn’t get the biggest merit award so idk what our chances are, but good SAT scores and GPA compared to last year’s honors kids’ stats. 
. Seems like a waaày different pool this year though!
Heard this wave of honors acceptances was just top scholars? Can anyone confirm or deny?
My son received his acceptance today but nothing about top scholars or anything else besides the Honors college.

We are OOS - the acceptance received today was just for honors -no mention of Top Scholars.

D25 OOS received her Honors admission this evening. She received an email to check her portal, and the decision was there. Judging from prior years, there are two Honors College releases: late December and February.
Congrats! Out of curiosity when did she apply? Early or at the deadline?
Top Scholars invitations won’t go out until late January. I don’t know the exact number of students who are admitted to the Honors College in the December batch, but it’s always more than the total number of students invited to Top Scholars.
I searched some posts from the past few years, and it appears that the Top Scholars candidates were part of the December group. That being said, there were Honors College admits from past Decembers who weren’t invited for Top Scholars. So, there’s no expectation or guarantee that a December admit will result in a TS invitation.
She submitted her Honors College application in September and had all of her supporting documents in by October 2. She also attended one of the in person Carolina Elite gatherings hosted by Admissions.

My son’s portal application status used to say submitted, & is now blank. What does this mean? He applied 11/15. Regular decision
EA decisions were released on the 17th. Did you son apply RD?

Yes. He submitted everything by 11/15. It use to say submitted. Now it’s blank.
