University of South Carolina Early Action for Fall 2025

They haven’t released HC second wave decisions. I think that’s before RD.

It is. Website says Mid-March.

I think most try to under promise on dates.

Just checked the Self Service portal and seems there is now a financial aid tab that was not there before… so maybe merit decisions are coming soon?

Just got an email saying honors college application status has been updated, but daughter isn’t home, so I can’t look yet. Good luck to all who’ve been waiting. If you can post whether you got accepted and your major and gpa, SAT, that would be much appreciated!!

I think the honors college just released their decisions. Got an email just a few minutes ago, but have to wait for my daughter to come home.

No HC for us, pre IB. Oos, 33 act. At Oos fees, we have to give up as no merit either. It’s gonna be UT Austin in state for us.

Thank you!! My daughter got accepted under early action, but we were waiting for HC. She got into Clemson, auburn and TN. Like you, OOS with no merit or need based aid makes it hard to justify the costs. USC and Clemson are IS for us, so staying here for now. Thank you again for sharing.

HC rejection - OOS, 34 ACT, great stats/ECs/essays, though rank not within range b/c of competitive school, imagine that hurt chances considerably. Fingers crossed for others!

HC rejection. EA accepted OOS with $96,000+ scholarship, 34 ACT, leadership, national athlete, AP/Honors, and awesome essays. This one stings. Still possible #1 but tarnished a little.

34 and still rejected for HC, I kept wondering if my D got 1 point more if it would have made a difference, looks like maybe not. The 2025 pool of kids set a really high bar

96K is nothing to sneeze at!

It’s why it’s still in the running but wanted the focus and attention in HC.

I love usc, but UT Austin is a way better school so things happen for a reason!

Makes sense, but still a huge accomplishment

Wondering if d25 will receive any merit at all at this point, USC might still be in play with some merit even though hc rejected

OOS waitlisted Honors. Did receive the $96k/4yr merit. Small private HS, no APs, multiple DEs, 4.0 UW, 33 ACT. Great ECs and recs. Female STEM major. Waitlisted UTK Honors, in Honors at JMU, waiting on Honors decision at NCSU (admitted into first choice major). Waitlisted at UNC altogether (IS). Good luck to everyone! Wondering how I’m going to fill my time once all the decisions are in and I don’t come here every hour to lurk.
