Thank you for the detailed instructions - followed your path and it netted out bringing me to an application portal. The portal has changed to show the “application status: decided” and lists the VIP ID, USC User ID off to the side. The celebrate, events, next steps are listed on top. If you try to register for a admitted student day - there is the message “only for admitted students. If you think this message is in error…”
Looks promising but not going to mention to my kid. Will wait for them to get a check your portal email and wait for them to discover. This is the last school we are waiting on - and I got a bit too curious given the instructions you posted. I do feel a bit guilty if I found out before them AND who knows if it 100% official etc.
To clarify - If I just logged into my students regular USC admission portal that has been used to manage their application, I still get the status of “submittedawaiting decision” - it’s only when I followed your instructions through the admitted student days link, to login that it brought up a similar looking portal with the status of “decided” and the information I described above.
PSA to everyone talking about this portal stuff. I talked to one of my friends who is an admissions counselor and he said if you simply have a South Carolina login you can access this page that says you got in. Unfortunately it means nothing. We aren’t going to know anything until we get a decision from admissions. Not to be that guy but I’d just like to inform everyone.
Hi all, Has anyone heard when the official Regular decision date is? I know the website says Mid-March, but was wondering if there are rumors yet of a date or a week. Do you know if scholarship info will come at the same time?
Last year decisions were rolled out from now until March. I believe merit $ is attached. My son a few yrs ago was waitlisted. Now waiting for this one. Last school
Yes, I agree means nothing. Had a friend check who doesn’t expect to get in and they had all of it as well, they said low stats and OOS. I at first was overly optimistic but my friend has the VIP and USC ID. Reach school for them, so now back to everyone has it. Ugh
