But admissions decisions came out Feb 23rd last and this year they came out Feb 28th. Maybe it’s a two week lag between admissions and merit.
We have the cost of attendance in the financial aid section of my.sc.edu, but no merit yet. Anyone else see merit? If so was it already in your letter?
Yay! Our son FINALLY received his free T-shirt in the mail. Looks it was lost somewhere for a few months…dirty package with a footprint on it lol! On another note, we were disappointed to not hear back about merit on Friday (based on previous year, was expecting it) but crossing fingers it will be soon. Looking forward to having all of the data so son can make a final decision!

Oh nice! We are eagerly awaiting and hopeful for some merit- coming to admitted students day in a few weeks to see school for first time. Can anyone share what we should plan for ( ie- things they wished they saw on their own that were not on the tour?)

Hopefully this week!
We went to the admitted students tour last month and SC did a good job. My son’s dorm is fixed, but checking out the Villages and the surrounding athletic facilities in the area was fun for him. There was a softball tournament Friday night we watch a little of and the area was lively. We also checked out Five Points, The Vista and downtown to help him get a feel for the surrounding area.
admitted students day is the only time you’ll be able to go inside the dorm buildings before orientation so be sure to visit any that are of interest! doesn’t come with the regular campus tours.

Anyone hear anything about when the official merit amounts will come out? Hoping for something more firm than at least $$$. Really want to commit and this is the last puzzle piece.

Did you get an email first? Nothing in email or portal. Was really hoping for a little something to lower OOS cost a bit. We have received something from every other school.
