Financially, it puts it in the running for me in comparison to the costs of my other schools. I have to research the academic side now and see how APs and dual enrollment will transfer in.

My D24 received $12,000. We’re happy, but of course we were hoping for a little more. The 12k puts the price in line with our state flagship (PSU), but I was hoping for more to make up for the amount needed to cover travel. Oh, and there’s the part where she wants to go somewhere warm which makes PSU less appealing.

Congrats! Did you apply early action or regular decision?

Does it specifically say merit? Where do you see it?

You have to log in to the financial portal- an email should have come yesterday or the days before with info how to log in. On the right hand side there is a financial aid column with two links underneath- one is for FAFSA stuff I think, and the other is for this coming year’s financial aid. Click the that second one and a new page will open and you can click the link for 2024-2025 school year. That page will then break down tuition and fees costs, room & board and tell you the merit amount. Mine said UT Presidential Merit Scholarship.

Thanks, I found it.

Excellent news! For us it shows only one year, and no details on minimum GPA etc. Does anyone have merit past the first year? TIA!

This makes Tampa very attractive.

I looked up the Presidential scholarship, and the information says that merit scholarships are renewable for 4 years and require a minimum gpa and satisfactory academic progress to keep.

Thank you for this. I’ve now seen the details of the Presidential Scholarship on the website. I wonder how automatic the renewal is. At other private schools the merit was specified as spread across 4 years, minimum GPA, but no need to renew.

Check your emails! I just got an invitation to the Honors Program! Does anyone know if there are other merit scholarships that come with this or that can be applied for?
