University of Tennessee Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

That is wild… Those stats are way higher than my daughters, who got accepted into nursing…. she did have great practical directly linked experiences and extracurriculars, however

Did you also apply to va tech? I think it’s an SRAR glitch

I applied to VT and got my decision just fine.

This whole admission process over the last few years has been wild. My daughter has many extracurriculars too. Volunteer with Ambulance Corp, 3 sport varsity athlete, clubs, volunteer hours, etc.

Yes, my son applied to VA Tech. That must be it. So did his friends. Same thing.

My son’s too!!! WTH? That app has been complete since 10/15!!!

Well clearly wasn’t trying to say it was everyone who applied to va tech :joy: I logged into SRAR and it shows report sent to UTK on 10/25. It also shows report sent to va tech on 11/21. Then it shows a second report sent to UTK on 11/21 also. You can’t even send the SRAR to a school twice. So how can there be 2 records of report sent to UTK? So I concluded a glitch. Va tech is one of only schools with later EA deadline and common to apply to Va tech and UTK…but I’m sure not everyone experienced the same glitch.

Ok, so what is the plan. Someone at UT needs to understand and address this.

Yes you can, everytime you edit it, it gets sent again to every college on your list.

No you cannot. School opens a portal for you after you submit app.

My son applied to Tech long before UT and he got accepted just now into UT with no issues. Now we never saw any calculated SRAR GPA etc that people mentioned and that might be why but it didnt affect our process.

This is EXACTLY what happened.

I used the SRAR differently. That might be why. I did not use the links from the portals. Instead I set up a main SRAR account and sent as I applied.

Same I was accepted to my second major; School of Nursing still under review

Deferred
3.9uw/4.4w top 5%
Mostly honors, APs, and Dual Enrollment
Tons of ECs and volunteer hours
I know it’s my SAT score, but honestly I just done perform well on a standardized test like that so it is what is if that’s what they want to use to determine who they want.
I got into Clemson with an academic scholarship, TCU with $20,000, Baylor with undisclosed merit and an invite to interview for the I2E, Florida Tech with $21,000, Nova Southeastern with $20,000, Stetson with $34,000, and a few smaller schools with a chunk of money.
I’ll send my 7th semester grades which are college Spanish second year, AP Bio, AP English Comp, Participation in Gov and PE, all with As. I’ll get some more letters and that’s all. I’m not sitting for the SAT again.

My son did from VA

My son applied to VA Tech after so it makes it look like his SRAR was late for UT because it updated on the date he sent to VT even though he had it complete in time for UT.

Also the same! Neither deferred nor admitted… they seem to just think the app was RD.

When did you hear back from Baylor? I submitted mine October 25 and still nothing.
