My son was invited and was accepted to the school as well as Honors. We’re in-state.

Oh! Do honors acceptances come at the same time as general acceptance? We are OOS so waiting (impatiently) for next week. I think S25s other schools all seem to do honors notifications at a separate time, so it never occurred to me that that could be coming too.
The way it seemed to work in-state last week was those who received honors had it stated in their online acceptance letter. My son’s said something along the lines of "you have been admitted to the Haslam School of Business and the Chancellor’s Honor Program. There were also paragraphs about the merit money he would receive. The next morning, he received an email just about the Honor Program including housing and merit associated with that.

Any idea if this issue was permanently fixed or if we should reach out to confirm DS is in EA group? We are OOS so he should hear next week, but there were definitely “updates” to his SRAR after UTK deadline when he had to submit it to other schools after the UTK deadline. When he goes onto the portal, he can see the SRAR was “submitted” a few times, even though the first time was way before the deadline.
I thought I read that they had to apply EA in order to claim this route. Does anyone recall seeing anything about that? Can they apply regular decision for top 10% auto-admit?

DO Auto-admits have to have a certain SAT/ACT score as well?

Wow. The minimum ACT/SAT requirement is pretty low. Gives me hope that my OOS DD’s test score will get her at least a deferral.
We are out of state and expecting to hear next week. But my daughter just got an email saying that the FAFSA is open. We got that from another school as well, but in the email it clearly stated that the acceptances will come out in mid December. The Tennessee email sounded like she was in. Anyone else Figure this out?
We are also OOS and received the same FAFSA email this afternoon. Definitely would love for it have some sort of indication of what decision is coming on Tuesday.
Also OOS and received that email. Feel like other schools he’s applied to have sent the “FAFSA is open” email with their school code. We’ll need a bigger sample size to see if it means anything but I think they were just wording it positively (and that it doesn’t mean anything.) I’d love to be wrong

OOS and got the FAFSA email this afternoon as well.
UTK admissions just posted the FAFSA code on Insta so I’m thinking our emails don’t mean anything.

Agreed, would be great if it meant that an acceptance was coming, but sometimes big state schools send out emails like that to everyone sadly
in the same boat, got a higher SAT reading score than math for psych major, hopefully they take into account whichever matters most for your major
Everyone believe received FASFA emails and OOS decisions is 12/17/24. Did your email have more to it than FASFA is open?
Means nothing. We received it too and from all the other schools my d applied to. OOS decision comes out 12/17/24
