Would love to hear about anyone’s experience. We are going in a couple of weeks. Would appreciate hotel recommendations, etc.

The Silver Cloud hotel is nearby and convenient to UW and University Village shopping area (“u village”). Walk the new north campus dorms and u village. Many new dorms on campus. They’re more like hotels. A lot of cash pumped into that campus over the years. West campus is closer to more transit and is the “city living” side. It’s pretty much a city school. ~5 miles north of downtown. The west side is a bit rougher, just facing many of the same challenges of other west coast cities these days. New nice dorms in West Campus too. North campus and u village is the nicer area, but many love West Campus, more eclectic with smaller restaurants and cafes.
