Congratulations to all the recent students getting off the WL! Are you planning to commit?
Does anyone know if itās possible to transfer to Eng after a year if youāre not at a Washington CC? I heard UW takes the vast majority of transfers from Washington State colleges
Just spoke to the office of admissions, they said the waitlist for oos students is still open till the 1st of august and decisions should not be postponed further than that.
There are posts about this above with the details. Itās possible to transfer from another (non-WA cc) college, but the acceptance rate is low. 20% range.
Waitlist is closed as of email at 4:30 today.
I hope everyone has fallen in love with the college they chose.
My son just got off the waitlist
Instate, had applied to ENGRUD.
Email says Arts and Sciences pre-major. The portal doesnāt say anything just congrats and click here to accept or decline.
So we know itās not direct to college. Iām asking is this what is meant by āpre majorā where you can apply after a year to one of those eng majorsā and we know-/ lower chance and all that ā¦
Interesting, others had indicated that the in-state waitlist closed at the end of June.
Just sounds like he was accepted to UW pre major, and will need to apply to engineering later. Looks like the process for the various pathways is detailed on the website. Congrats!
If anyone receives appeal responses and is willing to share, please indicate in-state or out-of-state and post those here as well. Hoping for more good news as this all winds down this year!
My sonās appeal was denied. In-State
Iām so sorry! And so surprised. Iāve been following your story and hoping it would have ended differently. I know you said he got in to all his other schools, where is he committed? Hugs!
That one hurts. So sorry to hear!
