My daughter’s deferral letter says to watch for an email that will provide further instructions on how to submit grades and additional info.

Accepted for biochemistry and Spanish. In state, 3.95 UW, TO, 10 APs and DE. Solid extracurriculars with lots of leadership!

I know, right? Back in Oct I couldn’t wait for Nov, Dec and most of Jan to just disappear. Now, on to hoping Feb and March just vanishes. I want this to end so bad … lol

I applied to the business school! My essays were very strong. Thinking it was maybe because I went test optional?
Or it could be the rigor and grades, especially with TO, particularly in Math. Did you take and crush Calc/Pre-Calc?
Anyone know when the merit scholarships come out?
This may keep the deferred applicants on the edge, but I just found a strange experience shared by one deferred person from last year:-
On Feb 8th there deferred status was changed to admitted from deferred without even responding to the LOCI.

There is very little automated merit at UW Madison. Only about 5% of their student body gets any merit according to the CDS.
If you haven’t done so and are considering attending, scan the scholarship hub to see if there is anything you may qualify for. Some scholarships have additional applications. I linked it in a post above.

OOS accepted. 3.88 unweighted / 4.4 weighted. 1300 SAT. Very strong essays. AP classes, club sports, and extracurriculars. Legal Studies major.

Does anyone know whether they’re still releasing in batches, or has everyone gotten a decision already? Are there still some decisions that won’t be released till tomorrow or Friday?
He bulit a very strong relationship with the school over past 2 years. Visited multiple times… met with the advisors for his program. Very strong essays and I heard letters of rec (although we can’t see them). A ton of community service, multi sport athlete, major leadership, 14 AP/ DE. 3.9 GPA but very competitve school so it is all relative, with a signifincant upward trajectory- straight A’s last year all AP/ DE, 30 ACT- not his strength, but very strong resume all in line with Wisconsin Idea and demostrated A Lot of genuine passion for his major/ program. This was his dream and he made it clear! Cograts to all admits and don’t give up the fight to those who are deferred… it will all work out!!

MyUW spoiled the surprise a little since it took me to Office 365 first where I saw an enroll for classes section but still so stoked. After the UMich rejection thought I was so cooked for any OOS state school
