There is an extra box to check if you want to stop tracking the posts you are dismissing, so if you didn’t do that you should be fine!
You would have had to physically check the box that says don’t show these threads again.
That was a nightmare. Scrolling though hundreds of posts, trying to skip the lock but not pass up a pin. And then anytime you read a thread, you
have to start the process from the top again with no way to reference where you were. For example, I scroll past 1348 posts and read a thread I’m following. After I am done, I click on unread and start at post 1 again. Unless I remember the title of the closed post before the one I just read, I’m just scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. I finally gave up and dismissed them all.
Really, there has to be a better way!
Why was this mass closing of all these threads done this way?
Well, I got rid of the suggested threads that were closed. However, now EVERY thread in Parent Cafe is now marked “Watching” for me. Every thread. New ones. Old ones. I get notifications every time someone posts on anything there. So I’m manually changing each to “Normal” but this is really aggravating. Because there will always be new threads, and they will be marked “Watching.” Any idea how to get rid of this?
Go to the top of parent cafe. Click the bell to the right of new thread. Select normal (or one of the other options). However, the new settings will apply to all threads, so if there are any you want to continue to watch, you’ll need to manually change those
Thanks! Actually I just found that after I wrote. I never changed it, at least on purpose, but in any case, it’s better now! I don’t ever label anything Watching on purpose, so this won’t be a problem. Thanks again!
