UPDATED! The Golden Bachelor/Bachelorette - CC Discussion!

Definitely the men were the best part of the show.

The interplay between Pascal and Joan was interesting. She was still mad! She really liked his lifestyle on the hometown date, and wanted to talk things out during the fantasy suite. But he had already made up his mind. The nerve! How dare he recognize that he was not that into her! She probably was still fixated on the idea of dashing off to Paris on a whim. She clearly had not been in love with him.

Pascal would make a fun Golden Bachelor but he understands the difficulty of dating long distance. And likely is not really interested in women his age.

Well, the Golden Bachelor could be “golden” but his suitors wouldn’t have to be! Give him a room full of 45-50 year olds who want an older guy!

I take it you’re being sarcastic about Joan.

I never watched any of the Bachelor programs, but my D was home when this one started so I got hooked. I think last night’s episode was incredibly boring. Maybe I was in a bad mood (election results bummed me out) but I just wasn’t interested at all. Do these guys not have any friends–they become BFFs after spending a few weeks together? The episode last night, IMO, just seemed like a way to pad the series and keep people watching for an extra week.

Also, maybe I’m the only one, but I think there’s something creepy about Chock.

Yes, last night was a dud - and the reason why? These guys all got along, they are generally vanilla (meaning everyday nice normal guys) and there was no drama during the season! Now, get the usual characters out there of the younger series and there can be a lot more fireworks!

They were clearly trying to fill the time

You’re not alone in feeling Chock is a little creepy!

This type of episode (Men Tell All or Women Tell All) occurs each and every season as the episode before the finale. It’s much tamer, though, compared with the non-Golden versions.

Guys Tell All? Yawwwwwn!

This season? Yawwwwwn!

Anyone that is possessive grates against my personality and would be a definite NO for me. Chock is definitely possessive and Joan seems to like it—I definitely would NOT.

My youngest sis loves her H who likes to take charge. It works for both of them. He basically does most of the thinking for the family. I’m not happy in such a situation.

Most of us on here think Chock is ick

Respectfully, I beg to differ, I LOVE the guys and last night was super fun for me…

Also, how could you not like the post it story…

As a matter of fact…

I sort of love that Pascal doesn’t hold back on his views of things like Chock or a regional based show - OR the age of the women or men!

Finally watched Men Tell All. I’m surprised no one commented on Joan’s dress. I found it distracting.

I thought the show was too heavily edited. For those in the hot seat, they spent more time showing the montage and their children than conversations with the men.

Did anyone else notice that, in one of the blooper scenes, there was a young woman sitting on the sofa on her phone? It looked like she was on Instagram. It should be right around the 36 sec mark here.

There was a lot of commentary on my tv boards about Joan’s dress. I said she wanted to open her heart so apparently had dressed for surgery.

good catch!!

Looks like a producer or pa

I had my hair done at Pascals salon for years. The woman who did my hair had the station next to him. I overheard many a conversation and that man does not come across as nice or as anyone I’d want anyone I cared about to be involved with. I kept shouting at the screen. Run away Joan. Run.

Wow insider info! That’s crazy!

In my opinion he does not like women. I only mean in the sense of being misogynistic . His conversations with some male clients would especially have me rolling my eyes.

He ALWAYS dressed as a woman for Halloween when I went to his salon. He seemed to think it was funny. The Joan one this year at least had some reason behind it. But frankly, the other years, I found it weird and seemed to be demeaning to women. Never mind that many on the staff hated his mandate that they dress up on the Saturday before the holiday.
