Hi, I have read multiple times interviews are based on alum availability. My sonā€™s classmate got an interview invitation, but he has not. Should that be concerning? Worried ā€¦

My daughter has not received one either. I keep reading that it doesnā€™t matter but Iā€™m
Not really sure. Itā€™s unsettling though! I keep asking her to check spam bc it would be terrible to miss an emailā€¦

Have her log in to her portal and see if she has been assigned an interviewer, or if there is a question asking her if she wants an interview. My daughter happened to log on to her portal and that question was on her portal, even though she checked the " yes for interview" box. A few days later an interviewer had been assigned and then a few weeks later the interviewer emailed her. Good luck. All good though if she ends up without an interview.

Thank you, is there a specific section where we need to look. Donā€™t see anything on the portal.

As I recall it is on the right side. There is something like a Alumni Ambassador box and then in that it says Pending Assignment (or something like that).

Edit: This was on a PC. Not sure about how it would look on a phone.

I saw a name assigned in the field. But didnā€™t get any interview invite so far. How long did it take for you to get the invite after the portal change?

It took a bit , a few weeks I think . The interviewer then emailed her and they had a chat over zoom .

We have not mid year report in my childā€™s checklist on portal but yale and harvard. I heard someone has it . We didnā€™t get interview also but the person interviewed with upenn. Not marked as missing. Just we donā€™t have itself on my portal checklist like they donā€™t request.

My S24 does not have the midyear report listed as a checklist item on his Penn portal (although apparently his counselor sent one anyway).

Did your DS 24 apply other schools too like yale? If other schools are same i wonder. Deke includes mid year and final in checklist. One girl in reddit said her uppen portal marked missing.

So, i noticed that in both my Yale and UPenn app the mid year check was missing. I emailen them both and Yale confirmed that they had them butt Penn said they were not recived. My councler sent them in early Jan, any suggestions as to what I can do.

She interviewed with upenn .
