@WCWSM52 I don’t have it either. When did it show up for you?
@UCLAParent123 I don’t really know when it appeared because I haven’t been checking recently
I just checked and I do not have the admitted section…
Oh wait, nevermind. I do, but I think that is a general page.
Yes, I have it too but it seems like a general page.
I do not have admitted at the top. Does anyone know where this is? Is it at the top with the categories?
Click on apply and then it is one of the tabs.
Thank you!! Just found it!!
@WCWSM52 did you verify you really weren’t offered TTP? Can you open up your rejection letter and look all the way through it?
A few people (really it happens every year) are offered TTP but never noticed it on their rejection letter. But that was when they mailed letters as a backup to the online rejection (still did this last year, just not this year with covid). Not sure where TTP appears on the online email letter…perhaps a second page (as it used to be on backside of mailed letter). We’ve had people come on here in June or July and say, “Hey I just noticed I was offered TTP on the back of my rejection letter can I do anything about that now?..”
Can you verify that first? This is interesting because they have never offered TTP later than the original March decisions. So this would be new.
so, I was reading up on the recent discussion on the main USC thread, but thought I’d place my questions here where they are most relevant. why do you think that USC advertised in their rejection letter that they typically take 30-50 out of about a thousand appeals, if supposedly before last year, they tended to take around 10? do they somehow benefit from having more people appeal? question for @CADREAMIN & anybody else who understands the appeal process better than i do
Probably an average. There are published articles where Brennan says “they took under 10” and another year where he said “they took around 20.” These were in the last 3-4 years. So maybe they plan on taking 30-50 this year or they are just averaging (last year they took a lot more than ever before attributed to scandal and paranoia of bias or favoritism). That won’t happen this year. They do tend to get 1000-1100 appeals pretty reliably each year. But I think the kids that actually have something new that makes a difference to the application is a very small number. 30-50 is a big number to overturn, but if that’s what they said, that is interesting!
I have the “admitted” thing too but I feel like that is just a general page. Also, what is a TTP. Is that only relevant for transfer students or all students who appealed in general?
@CADREAMIN When you say “That won’t happen this year”, what are you referring too? They won’t be taking a lot of students off the appeal this year? And how do you know?
@kash123 TTP is the Trojan Transfer Plan. All students that apply RD are considered for it. But from the one post, it seems that there is a possibility it may be considered for this year’s appeals? Basically, if you have good enough grades in your first year in college, you are guaranteed admission to USC as a transfer.
Hi everyone! I heard that appeals this year will be released later than the expected date. Can anyone confirm this information?
@studyybug Where did you hear this? And, if true, what could that mean towards our chances at getting in?
I had asked an admissions officer if appeals were still scheduled to be released at the same time, and the response was that they will most likely come out the end of May.
I’m not sure what this means? Any thoughts??
Hello all, I have a question… so I just found out yesterday I received an regional athletic award, and I didn’t know if I should email my AO about this… would this be bugging them? Any thoughts?
@testpokemon98 I forgot to @ you in the response! Sorry!!
@studyybug You emailed your regional admissions counselor? And what was the exact response?
