@lovestay345 @studyybug bruh y’all would go to USC over UCLA? Ma’am…
@lovestay345 @studyybug are you both transfer students? Thats why you just committed to UCLA? Or are you both off the waitlist for ucla and just committed?
@alexchar25 i got off the waitlist!
@UCLAParent123 for me, it’s the mainly cost. I would get pretty great financial aid that would have me paying less than my in-state school so it’s worth it for me.
I have three kids in college this year: UC Berkeley, Cornell and Tufts. All these great schools went on-line. None of these schools ever even considered refunding some of the money due to on-line, and not in person instruction. I am grateful they returned most of the money for room and board for the days when they forced students to be on line.
So, I wouldn’t blame USC for not refunding tuition. It seems, the schools of the same caliber are not doing it.

in my letter, i forgot my birth date and put my reference number instead (lmao). will that completely nullify my appeal letter, regardless of the content in there
@alexchar25 Oh no I’m not a transfer student, I had committed to UCLA before the May 1st deadline I just decided to post on here about my situation ahah
@CADREAMIN and @WWWard (and really anyone else who knows any info), do any of you know what usc’s yield is looking like this year? I’m hoping perhaps you guys know any estimates or you know someone within usc who knows anything.
@COmama24 Sorry, but I have no additional insights. Good luck…
@akjr24 They have not announced it yet, but they admitted circa 9500, so they are clearly expecting it to fall to around 32% again… down from 42% last year.
WWWard,
Not that I am arguing, but didn’t they count the “old” 42% based on fall admits only, and now they are including the spring admits into the new calculation, aiming at 32%. Isn’t it comparison of apples and oranges?
Does anyone know if you get into your selected major if you do get in off of appeal?
You could be admitted undeclared.
Could or will?

@DarthMalgus I don’t think it would affect you negatively, because you put the reference number, which shows it’s you and that you wrote the letter. I think they just are looking for new, compelling content within the letter.
are decisions coming friday? if so, what time do they usually release them?
Just clarifying, the submitted appeals don’t show up in the portal right?
Correct, they don’t @jhope222
That’s right, they don’t. But the appeals have to be uploaded through the portal, following instructions form the rejection letter. NOT emailed to your counselor.
