UT Austin Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

100% agree. This is an extremely tough year to begin with and these kids are being put through the ringer. Not fair. They knew and should have prepared better.

I completely agree, and we are all in the same situation. We are waiting for nonAutoadmit for my son. It awful to hear about the added stress to the kids and families, something that is avoidable with a better system. Also the COVID has impacted their school/friends/ family and then created the changes with testing and reporting of testing has made this even more challenging for some, while helping some that needed it. Even though we are competing for the same spots at some level, I wish you all the best of luck and hope these kids find happiness soon. They will find happiness no matter where they go, and success will follow. Good luck to your daughter.

Couldn’t agree more. Nailed it. Some colleges clearly says their decisions will be out on a certain date and they stick to it. So we don’t frantically check the portal so many times.

thank you for your words! you hit the nail on the head! it is such a hard year with so much uncertainty

I agree!

I couldn’t agree more. My student has applied to other colleges that have just as many applications being submitted, with just as many majors and minors, private and public, and they have set days. The rolling notification, without most receiving even so much as an email simultaneously or after an update, is truly subpar.

Priority set date is February 1st. I know it’s frustrating because they have friends and classmates getting in before. But they did state FEB 1st. My son has friends still waiting A&M.
He knows as a non AA he’s not getting in. And he’s a laid back kid so lucky me. This just makes me wonder if the chances are so low, he should of also applied to Rice!

Hi! I am new to this. I am out of state (OK). I applied CNS undeclared/pre-pharmacy last September. Took a long while to get it completed because I took a lot of non standard classes from different community colleges (and hospitals) last few years.

This morning I got email (or from last night?) to update financial information. Took me a while to check (have to recover password as I haven’t logon since last October), I got to this page where I have all future UT classes listed for Fall 2021 (like M408C, BIO311C), and the cost and amount I owe as if I am a current student. The web sites are so confusing. I emailed the admission counselor name Zach in the “Be a Longhorn” page cause I can’t tell if I am admitted or not.

I just scrolled through this forum. Wow! I am glad I forget about my login info at UT.

More questions, can someone tell me what are these access for? I am so confused. Which one can confirm if I am accepted?

  1. My UT
  2. My Status
  3. UT Direct
  4. Be a Longhorn

Im pretty sure MyStatus is the actual one

My Status link: Sign in with your UT EID - Stale Request

So I don’t have to worry about the amount of money “I owed”. It is a bit ridiculous.

I don’t think so but tbh I’m not 100% sure.

OMG! I didn’t know I was accepted! I have been clicking the UT Direct link all these time. I have bunch of things need to do under Financial Aid tab. Thanks

Ok so I’ve been doing some snooping and I went into MyUT and noticed that there is a bar on the right hand side with: “What I Owe: Now: $0.00 Overall: $0.00” Does anyone who hasn’t been accepted yet have any dollar amount over $0 here or is it the same for everyone? Does this mean anything? I’m OOS btw.

Same here

Congratulations! CNS pre-pharm is also hard to get in(LOL what is not difficult to get in?), but I was told you have to keep up good grades for two years I am sure you are pretty good at that with hospital experience.
You can also work part time as Pharm tech at Dell Medical Center if you have the certification in HS, beats working in dorm cafeteria.

I see that too. I’m an in-state non-AA. Not too sure if it means anything. I hope it does though

I don’t think it means anything. It would be a good sign if it says you owe xxxxx amount. I would be happy to owe them some money

Yup same. I was hoping it would be a dollar amount more than $0 but oh well. It seems like everyone has the same thing
