I know this won’t help much, but I do understand what you are going through. We went through it last year and it does seem even worse this year. Applications are “only” up 9k over last year (not that it makes THAT much difference because that’s still a huge amount, but it’s better than 20K!). I remember last year applications were up over the previous year, but “ONLY” about 4K (“only” HA!!). Last year when my son applied, UT had 57K applications and this year they have 66K. The year before my son graduated (2019) it was 53K. So, it has increased by 13K in two years. I suspect the test optional option is one of the factors that caused such a sharp increase this year.
Well hopefully two more days for early applicants for non-auto applicants. It’s been a long ride for sure.
Weird thing I just realized about an application. I applied to not use test scores in the admission decision process, however, is that in my documents that they have of mine, my test score is in it. Anyone else has this. I guess through ACT my score was sent but I said not to use it in the decision. Can anyone else confirm this for them as well?
Where is the bar?
right below your eid number in the top right, says Mydocuments
hey @jp12345678 i had the same issue. it’s because when registerring for the sat/act you must have listed your scores to be sent to ut. it sat in their system under your name already, so i assume they just add it your profile.
so since on our applications, we chose to not have them used for our admissions decision, they won’t use it right.
My son has $200 there - I think the enrollment deposit.
My daughter sent an email on 1/6 to admissions showing continued interest and listed her 1st semester grades. She just got an email from admissions saying that since her application is in review they cannot guarantee they will consider her email.
Seems odd to send her a personal email 20 days later today given that decisions will be out any day now. Who knows?!
Has anyone OOS been accepted to UT Journalism in the Moody School? Also when was the OOS wave? I thought there weren’t any yet?
My daughter applied OOS for Moody Advertising and has not heard yet.
My daughter sent an email to her AO on 1/19 & got a very nice reply on 1/20. We have been trying to not read too much into it but hopefully it’s a good indication. If not we will be very disappointed
. Oh well. life will go on. Good luck to everyone!
Hang in there! We’ll hear soon enough! Good luck!
I have loved checking the college pages of where my son applied, but I must say the UT page causes me serious anxiety. Y’all are intense! LOL! I think I’ll just take a pause for a few days. Best of luck to all of you.
I’m also OOS and applied to RTF at Moody. Still nothing tho not expecting anything.
Thank you!
There is no Basis to expect anything tonight correct?
I’m instate non-AA, applied for RTF at Moody. Have not heard anything yet.
My daughter is also instate non-auto RTF at Moody and no word yet.
