Still waiting on Moody OOS Priority
On the UT Admissions Twitter Account dated 1/22/21 in response to a question about when early action decision will be released their reply was
"Students who met the November 1 priority deadline will receive an admission decision (possibly an admit, deferral to March 1 or denial) no later than February 1 - some will receive theirs beforehand and some on February 1
Uh so … 2 more mins?

i didn’t realize by feb 1 would literally be on feb 1 but okay…
watch there be nothing tomorrow either. someone said priority applicants in past years got their decisions on feb 4 or 5 due to “mix ups”
Hmm does that mean you can actually get something that says “the decision will be deferred until March 1”. So do they wait on yours that they think is “kinda” good but hey if someone better comes along, you’re rejected?
But they sit and wait until then? DS is non AA in state, applied to CNS Mathematics.
His portal has read the same thing since October 28 and said he met priority.
yes, a deferred application would basically be good enough for ut to continue considering it.
ut may also defer because they want to see how many admitted students reject the offer by march 1. for example, if many COLA admits commit to other schools by march 1, then ut has to start accepting COLA applicants from the deferral pool to reach the necessary yield.

Did you get rejected tonight?
A lot of schools do deferrals. Sometimes they want to see the mid-year grades as another data point.

I have heard it could be midnight tonight but have no idea if that’s true. but if it is that’s awful
