UT Austin Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

rejected. :frowning:

semifinalist for forty acres?

A&M would be way better than going CAP IMHO.

The girl got capped for Biology. Now we wait for A&M.

Good luck y’all. Thanks and Gig’em.

Do they care about yield rate out of state? The only thing I can think of…

I got capped but I’m OOS. Does anyone know if this is common for OOS?

Yep! Semi finalist for 40 Acres - and not even accepted to Moody.
What a crap shoot.

UT: home of false home

I’m a semifinalist too! Super disappointed. I don’t think they communicate with one another. The people selected to be semifinalists were among the top 4% of forty acres applicants. It doesn’t make sense

My friend is trying to check her status, but it keeps saying her password is wrong. She even tried to change it and it still doesn’t work. Did this happen to anybody else?

Same - OOS, #1 in class, applied 10/1, got a CBHP interview and rejected from McCombs today

For the engineering applicants that do end up doing CAP, is it hard for them to switch out of liberal arts when coming back to UT austin?? or does anyone rlly know.

Son rejected for McCombs. He was RD, but was released today. Oh well, this was one of his reaches, plenty of other good options already in the bag. Good luck to all.

OOS son is still waiting as well. McCombs. Got into Umich on Friday

we are SAT 1560, Semi Finalist, CAPPED. I am beyond mad.

Did you get accepted?

OOS Rejected today from engineering:
3.9 UW GPA / 1550 SAT
had lots of AP classes / EC / sports
not a lot of leadership positions though

Disappointed since UT was high on the list but fortunately already accepted at other schools.

That might be why. Idk I thought that I was 50/50 for BHP but a lock for Mccombs. The whole Texas system is so messed up where a kid that is one of five graduates from their school can get in but not elite applicants from other states. Oh well, we’ll end up somewhere better in the end.
