i also havent gotten an interview to canfield bhp, does that mean im rejected?
AET = Arts & Entertainment Technologies. My son is doing that major but he is a digital artist, not a comp sci person.
Not sure, but I was sticking up for you in a previous post!
My OOS DD was admitted 2/1 for MechE. She was surprised to receive the email since that was the priority decision notification date and she applied RD end of Nov.
Anyone has more insights into PACE? I emailed the contact for PACE in UT website but did not get any convincing answere. the person just pointed me back to the web page. He/She told me there is a virutal session on March 10th and we can learn more. But the agremeent is first come first serve and it starts FEb 12! My questions are
- Where can I find the list of courses he needs to take at ACC to need the PACE requirements? He has a bunch of AP credits , can we use them in UT Austin and take different courses in ACC?
- Is this binding? We are waiting to hear from few more colleges .
- Does he have to reapply to UT at the end of the first year like CAP to get admitted?
He is international relations major. He has admission from TAMU, UTD and SMU. So thinking whether to do PACE or go to TAMU where he is guaranteed.
My son was admitted in state non-auto-admit for BFA acting last night
Turing Honor was out two days ago, we’re not on it though, congrat to those who made the list
Has anyone gotten an acceptance to the Health Science Scholars program yet?
Nope not yet
My son did PACE and because he was interested in Moody it was awesome. In general they have counselors who help you pick your courses at ACC and they help you to choose credits that don’t conflict with you claiming your AP credits (but maybe some kids took more AP than my son). What you’re really looking for is the curriculum requirements for the degree program you desire.
It’s not binding. It’s just a commitment that if you attend UT this is how you’d do it.
There’s no reapply. There’s just your kid working with their counselor who gives them guidance around getting the sufficient gpa to meet the requirement. I imagine this might be more complicated for some kids who want to target certain majors. My kid was targeting Moody all along, ended up in advertising and loves it.
I cannot speak to whether his interests in international relations are satisfied because I don’t know all the majors/programs in COLA/Moody that PACE kids can transition into.
We have the same situation with my son…OOS MechE on 2/1…so confused…we also applied RD so not sure if that’s a good sign for Honors or just the school releasing news in waves?
Any international student applying for RD got accepted?
Sorry, my comment was not meant for you. It was meant for a “Karen” who was telling high school seniors like me to shut up and not bitching about not getting into UT and how we should get over it when it was only a day. I apologize.
It was not mean’t for them. It was mean’t for a parent who was complaining about how high school seniors should not be sad about our cap/rejection. My apologies.
oh ok! so no harm in signing the PACE agreement and talking to the counselor to see if it meets our needs, i guess.
I’m sorry to hear that. That is rude. I hope everything works out for you.
How is AET major in UT Austin . My daughter also applied we have not heard anything yet. I have heard that the program is new and the curriculam is not well defined . What is your experience
My son was just accepted for the fall; I have no experience with the program yet.
My daughter was admitted for BFA acting also! where are you all from?
Do you have a list of courses or can you point me to their website that they recommend for PACE at ACC? they have the list online for CAP but not for PACE (at least I cannot find it ). I am assuming it will mostly core courses not any course from your major.
How will the transcripts show for these courses? ACC courses or UT courses.?
