I’ve been working all day but later when I get home I’ll respond to you as well about private vs university dorms, etc.
Most of the university dorms btw this year are singles because so many people chose to stay home. You’ll get your money back if you back out of the lease which is nice. I think dorm signup has already begun for the fall so that’s another issue as far as what may be available if you are further down the list. The private dorms are more social and kids living in them had a more “normal” experience than university dorms because suites were full and kids were more together however instead of leaving when someone got covid these kids chose to just ride it out in their suites and then the entire suite got covid. It was pretty rampant in Callaway at one point. Now it hasn’t been so bad which means there is probably herd immunity on campus. Lots of people throughout still have no water and many apartments are terminating leases effective immediately (not in dorms just apartments) to fix the issues. Lots of unhappy parents right now!
Again, I’ll address more of your questions later. Mine lived in Callaway and while there were many issues that I had, she loved it.

Intl student. Got admitted to college of liberal arts which was my second choice major. Am I still being considered for Mccombs or is there any way I can still get in. If I enrol for psychology how hard is it to transfer within college of liberal arts, like to economics.

I just submitted my application for a housing contract. I am OOS from New York, do you think I will be fine and end up receiving a housing application or I applied too late?? I never realized it was not binding so I put it off
