My honors portal when you click to expand says “We will do everything we can to provide a decision notification efficiently and no later than March 8. Thank you for your patience and interest in UT Austin!”
Yea, mine doesn’t say anything.
I just contacted international admissions today and they said because of the storm everything is delayed by 2 weeks and that they dont have any idea regarding the timeline for Intl decisions
It’s for honors decisions. If you click on the Honors tab, then click on the thing that says they are still reviewing your application, it will finally take you to a message that say ‘by March 8’.
wait i don’t have anything like by March 8 - all it mentions is what date it was completed on, and when i click the link “View details”, all i see is another page which says the same thing, but a bit expanded - no indication of “march 8” or any other date tho
Likewise
what honors program did you apply for? What I’m seeing is for Polymathic scholars. It could be different for different programs?
Engineering Honors, probably could be cuz of different apps idk
Love to hear this- thanks!
Called the international admissions phone line and asked if there’s a specific time its coming out. She said that it can be anytime today or this week.
does anyone know when honors decisions are being released?
oh i just saw
They sent an email that they will be out by this Friday!
There are so many things being discussed on this thread, I’m confused. What is supposed to be out by Friday? Honors (specific program?) Or international decisions? Thanks in advance for the clarification!
International decisions!
Thanks! And good luck!
I am going to be totally incredibly accepted. My doctor says I am the most neurons he has seen in any person. So Intelligent, so many neurons.
You have great UT info! Do you recommend the private dorms like Callaway and Castillion from that organization? or on campus for freshman year?
Do you know if things are better at UT right now in Austin from the recent weather disaster? Trying to plan a visit, if possible. Are classes in session in -person or all online anyway this semester? Is Austin reopening? restaurants, shops, etc. or will it take a while longer for the community to recover and reopen?
Anyone has any thoughts on the decision wave? They said they would be releasing the decisions throughout the week, or in another scenario, they might have them all released at once at the weekend. Which option do you think is more likely?
We are heading to Austin today to visit the campus with my daughter and to see my son who is a current student. According to my son, the city has recovered fairly well from the storms but there are still some apartments without water. This now due to plumbing issues within the specific complex rather than a citywide water issue.
I went to Austin to visit my son a month ago and we had no issue finding multiple hotels at a variety of prices. For tonight, we were still able to find a hotel but there were fewer options. I think this may be due to families having to stay in hotels while their home damage is repaired.
There are very few classes happening on campus and it looks completely different from when we visited with my son his senior year of high school. There are fewer students out and about and there are virtually no on campus activities happening. You will be able to see what the campus looks like but the vibrant, active vibe is not there. I am so very hopeful that things will get back to normal in the fall. UT has announced they are doing in-person graduation in May and has told professors to prepare for in class instruction for the fall.
My son lived in Jester East his freshman year and he had a great roommate. He really came in knowing nobody. I think he was happy to get into an apartment this year and have his own room but the dorm experience was good for him. I don’t know a lot about the private dorms but the rumor is that they are mostly Greek. I have no idea if that is accurate but since my kid wasn’t interesting in Greek life, he didn’t look seriously at them.
