My homeschooled son got into UT Electrical Engineering today!! He is over the moon excited and we can’t believe he heard this early!! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Lots of piano competitions/invited to play at Carnegie Hall (cancelled due to Covid)
Volunteer pianist at a local hospital and special music for church
Variety of extracurriculars from 2 years at a private Christian school–swimming, Science Olympiad, etc.
He spent tons of time tying his essays into a fit to major and he did a really nice resume.

DS just got accepted to ASE. Non-auto admit. Highly competitive school. In state. Lots of AP courses. Top 9%. Part of the NASA High School Aerospace Scholars Program. Lots of community service, 2 varsity sports and good essays. ACT 34 (36 in math).
My DD was CAPPed on 1/21/2019. She appealed and got into Moody on 4/1/2019. Two years later, she has a cumulative 4.0, which is 93/94-100 on UT’s +/- scale. If you get CAPped, APPEAL!!
We are over the moon to have found out this early with our DS, and grateful he got in. Best of luck to you all. I know waiting is so hard.
