I am a little confused about the admission process. Do they release the decisions by the major a the Cockrell school of engineering or how does it work? I have seen some engineering majors getting decisions yesterday, but I have not seen any Biomedical engineering yet. My daughter is auto admit 3.45% of her class, decent ECs, 13 APs (including 4 in senior year) and she is getting a little worried.

@AtxAg95 You know when you first log in and it normally says at the top that your app is under review (with reminders and checklists below)? Now that first line says ‘Congratulations! You are admitted…’ I expected there to be some kind of Decision link that would take you to another page, but nope it’s right there. Then there are new ‘to do’ list things under it like ‘accept/decline admission’ and stuff like that.

Does anyone know if the financial aid tab changed before they got admitted? Mine says “please check back”

I don’t think they release it by major. (at least from what I know). For the same major, some kids hear in December. Then a whole other bunch hear in January.

After reviewing posts, it seems like McCombs admits were either auto-admits or folks who also had Honors interviews? Anyone see something different?

Yeah most of them have been, but also I’m an auto-admit (top 0.16%) and received an interview on November 10th and got no decision yesterday

My D21 was accepted to UT yesterday in the early evening at around 5 pm as a math major in the CNS.

My D21 was simply checking her UT portal and the congratulatory message appeared.

My OOS son had a CBHP interview in early November but hasn’t gotten an acceptance yet. He’s got a SAT 1510, 10 APs, tons of service and leadership, two sport varsity athlete, GPA 4.97. We felt like the interview was a good sign?! I guess we won’t hear until January?

One of my daughter’s friends (AA) was accepted into Bio last week. Another friend (also AA) was accepted into neuroscience last week. My daughter (AA) was accepted into public health before Thanksgiving. So, CNS is sending out acceptances, including Bio.

My OOS daughter applied 10/1, completed her CBHP interview on 11/23, #1/254, 4.0 UW, 4.54 W, 10 APs, etc. and also has not heard yet.
