The only admits getting the bad data message are auto admits who have not been accepted to their major. Honestly, at this point I’m starting to realize that being an auto admit (especially one at the bottom of the TOP 6%) doesn’t mean much at all. You’re basically in the same boat as everyone else, as evidenced by a number of out of staters being accepted to McCombs and other competitive majors. I think that registration sheet points toward likely admission. And bad data just means you haven’t been accepted … yet.

nah im auto admit 2% with staked ec’s and i applyed 9/29 and i’m still waiting on my major with the bad data messages. nothing abt it, it’s just ut just random

Has there been any people who’ve been accepted to their major yet but is still not able to access their registration sheet? It’s my understanding that everyone who has been accepted already into their major has access to the registration sheet.

where do u find that?
in the upper left area of mystatus there should be something that says ‘ut direct’, if you click on that and scroll down to ‘popular student links’ there should be something that says ‘registration information sheet’(right above that is a link to myUT which you can explore if you choose to). once it takes you to the registration info sheet and you input the semester(or something like that) it should load the information and if you scroll down you should be able to see a section that says “Advising Information” where for some people it has their major listed and for some it says a bad data message.
wait sorry lol i thought you were asking about the registration information sheet haha my bad. as for the displayed messages though, i believe those should be there as soon as you log onto my status

No I’m still waiting on my mechanical Engineering decision ;(
Means nothing, especially considering there was a release in late December. Also people are definitely working at the university, my current student has been receiving emails now for the past two weeks from Professors and different departments about the next semester, etc.

I was wondering if you get an email notification when there is an update to the mystatus?
i’ve heard that typically the update in mystatus comes first, and the email comes a couple hours or a even a day or two after
If you are auto admit, UT will consider both majors. OOS they only consider the first major.
If you are instate, auto admit and do not get your first 2 major choices, you will be offered a list of majors to accept, if you still wish to attend UT.
I’m an autoadmit and mine shows the major I got into not just the “requested major” part. When I first submitted my application it showed that screen though.
